What is the procedure/syntax for calling a shell bash script from Templater? After I “Setup Shell Commands” I have a script to make a new directory on my machine (as a simple test) calling it upon completion of a render. I point to the .sh script using Templater’s GUI. The bash script works when I call it from Terminal but not through Templater. When I run the BOT, the movies get rendered, but the script does not get called. Am I missing something or is there a video reference on how to do this? I am on a Mac High Sierra running AE CC 2019.

I ultimately want to create a shell script to do a sequential set of actions, neatly organized in a shell bash script.

@Jon thanks for the reply. Your response makes sense. Do you have any recommendations or have clients using existing CMS platforms successfully, such as cloudinary, contentful, etc.? Ideally we would want all our assets in the cloud.

Can the spreadsheet point to external URL’s? Seems like the “Footage” parameter has to point to a local directory on the machine. If all my assets live in cloud CMS, how do I connect the 2? Is there a boilerplate tutorial on how to do this?

I have a grasp of Templater Bot and the use of command line interface, but is there a way to render all the videos from the spreadsheet without automatically opening up After Effects? Seems like even using the command line, it still opens up AE and creates a Render Queue. Ideally sending all this out to render farm or external aerender would speed things up.
