{{off}} Flags preventing Bot exports
-
Hi @Jon and @ariestav
I’m unsure if this problem should be classified in Local JSON or under Bot, but here it goes.I have a project file that’s used for localising copy. Within the project, there is an option to turn on and off certain compositions using the {{off}} flag. Everything works as it should when I preview through the Templater UI. However, when I initiate the Bot, it seems like the flags are not allowing the bot action to “Render Target”, but if I remove the flag data from my JSON file the Bot output the versioned video as it should. See log screen shote below.
Any ideas as to what could be causing this issue?
Many thanks,

Hi Ronan,
Thanks for writing in. It’s hard to say without seeing the data set. Is there anyway you can share a mock data set of what it looks like with the flag and without? I just want to be sure it’s referenced as expected.
Bot should definitely be able to handle the flags, but it’s hard to say why it’s not handling the render.
It could be related to something else that the Bot needs that it doesn’t necessarily have, but again, here I would need to see the data object to understand more about what Bot is consuming here.
We’re happy to help you in the forum, but if you prefer to share data outside of the forum, feel free to share it to support@dataclay.com
Thanks Ronan!

Hey @ariestav - Thanks so much for the speedy response!
I’ll send an example dataset to the support email right now.
Cheers,

For anyone that’s viewing tis thread, the issue lay around toggling on and off pre-compped layers.
Using the “swapping” function gave me the results I was looking for. Thanks @ariestav for all the help.
Here’s a once of Ari’s videos that explains comp swapping.
