Audio file markers to cue events in a template?

Is there a way to set markers in a comp for an audio file, and automate the reading of those individual comps each one having a unique audio file in an effort to cue specific events in a template which are dictated by those audio markers? Hopefully this makes sense. Each audio file is a different length. But each follows a similar pattern. OR would it be better to cut up each audio file and read in all sequential pieces of those files to dictate the timing of events? So one audio file becomes 7 distinct audio files. Then all 7 are read in for each row in a spreadsheet. The events in the template would be trigger by the start of each of the 7 audio files.

Jeff,
I think that the best bet would be the latter scenario. Templater doesn’t really have any tools to read markers on a composition in the way that I understand you’re suggesting. Although, it’s possible that I do not entirely understand what it is that you’re hoping to accomplish.
That being said, separating the audio file into multiple segments would almost certainly work. The Time Sculpting features of Templater should be able to arrange the separated audio file into the correct chronological order without an issue. From there, you could certainly use the separated comp as a guide to align other effects, comps, etc.
Hopefully, that clarifies things a bit. If you’d like to provide some more detail on what you’re hoping to achieve with the marker scenario, we can look into it, but that solution would probably require the use of custom After Effects Expressions to achieve. If you have any other questions, please feel free to let us know.
Thanks,
Jeff

@Jeff Yes that would work, I already shifted to that approach and dropped the idea of using markers, it was not necessary. Breaking the audio into smaller audio clips works. Thank you.
