License Renewal
-
Hi,
We had several overnight renders that took place this past Sunday through Monday evening. During that span, our license for Bot renewed on all of our systems. We’ve since discovered that during the Sunday - Monday period, videos were mostly rendered, but sporadically not, i.e. rendering didn’t stop processing at a specific time, but rather processed videos on and off.
I think in previous conversations this behavior has been identified so I’m checking to see if there are any work arounds to mitigating the effect of this issue on our end? Is there any event that can be leveraged to send a message if the license has been deactivated?

We have identified an issue that comes up sporadically where a copy of Templater Bot that is running continuously can sometimes have timing issues when the renewal date for the license comes up. We’ve got a fix implemented in the next version of Templater, which should be out very soon. At this point, the best way to reduce the possibility of this issue occurring is to switch over to a 3, 6, or 12-month duration for the Templater license. To address your question about the messaging, unfortunately, there isn’t a way at this point to trigger a message if a license has been deactivated, but I can look into that internally. If you need more information on changing the renewal duration of your license or have more questions about this issue, I’d recommend getting in touch with our support staff at support@dataclay.com. Thanks.
