Que Interface

I’d like to assign a subset of all the jobs in a campaign to a different satellite than what they’re currently assigned to. In previous versions of Que, I was able to select up to 100 jobs to reassign. The current version appears to only allow 20 jobs visible at a time to select. If I filter jobs that result in, say 150 jobs, will clicking on the checkbox in the table header select only my subset, or all the jobs in the campaign?

That’s correct, clicking the “Select All” checkbox after filtering specific results will only select those returned results, and any changes applied will only be applied to them. The changes will be applied across all pages of filtered results, too, so you no longer need to set a large display to ensure that all results are adjusted.

@seth thanks. Just a couple of followups:
-
I use a filter which results in 200 records. I only want to select 100 of those, not identifiable through the filter. I appear to only be able to select 20 at a time, I can’t select the first page, then scroll to the second page and select 20 more etc. Then assign all of the checked records to a new satellite. Can I only select 20 at a time?

We have 8 satellites processing jobs. What I’m noticing is that as I select filters, or select which satellite to assign the records to, the filters all clear when any job status changes before I’m able to submit the change. Is there anyway to prevent this? I constantly have jobs changing from processing to done, and don’t have enough time to select a filter, select records, reassign to another satellite, and click submit, before I can submit the changes.

@pbretz For the first question, yes, only 20 at a time for now. We’ve had to temporarily limit it to 20 due to conflicts with other upcoming features, but we’re working on bringing it back in a future update, along with ways to make additional filters available.
For the second issue, that certainly isn’t ideal; I’ll look into it further and see if there’s a way to prevent that in the current version, as well as see if the behavior is still there in the next version or if it’s already been corrected.
-
@pbretz I didn’t run into entire filters clearing, but I did see behavior where the menu will close when the status changes or a job finishes; unfortunately, I haven’t found a way around it on the current public build.
However, I have been able to confirm that the issue appears to have already been corrected in an upcoming version update as a result of all the other work on the filters and such.

Thanks @seth! Just to be clear on (2), the issue happens when I’m trying to set a filter - ie select a satellite in it’s filter drop down, or try to set an action like reassign selected jobs to another satellite. When I interact with the dropdown, my selection(s) in the dropdown will be cleared if the render-status changes for any job in the campaign before I apply / submit the selection(s).
