    Erroneous Failure Occurs During Templater Installation on macOS 12.x

      Hello everyone.

      A recent update to macOS 12.x (Monterey) has been causing some errors during the installation of Templater 2.9.7 and Templater 3.0 (pre-release). This issue presents as an error in the “Summary” section of the Templater installer that reads “The installation failed.”

      This error seems to be occurring mainly during the “cleanup” phase of the Templater installation process and should not affect the usability of the plug-in. If you encounter this error, please check After Effects to see if Templater has been successfully installed despite this message.

      We’re currently working on a fix for this that should be integrated into the next release of Templater 3.0. In the meantime, if you encounter this issue but find Templater not to be functional, please get in touch with us at support@dataclay.com.
